Alternatively, ordinary passport holders could obtain visa on arrival in Vietnam provided their sponsors, travel agents, business partner or the conference organizers (depending on the purpose of the visit) in Vietnam make prior arrangements with Vietnam Immigration Department to issue the visa at the point of entry.  Tourists from Sri Lanka should arrange their visas through a travel agent who is approved by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Authority.

The above information has been prepared as a guidance for prospective visitors to Vietnam from Sri Lanka and the issuance of visas is entirely at the discretion of the Vietnamese authorities.
